SERVICING

To keep your watch in good working order, it is worth following a few simple servicing guidelines.
- Rub it gently with a soft cloth to get rid of dust and other marks.
- When you change the battery, ask your official agent to service your watch and test the water-resistance.
- For the guarantee to remain valid, watertightness needs to be checked at least once a year.
- Wash your watch in fresh or soapy water if you have been using it in the sea or swimming-pool.

WATER-RESISTANT WATCHES

- When your watch is wet or in the water, you should never attempt to use any of the push-pins to adjust the time, etc.
The push-pins should be kept in the pushed-in or locked-down position.
Avoid exposing the watch to sudden changes in temperature, such as diving into a cold pool on hot day.
- After swimming in the pool or the sea, wash your watch in clean water.
- For your own peace of mind, you should have the watertightness of your watch checked every year, and each time the case is opened.

THE BATTERY

- Your battery will last two years on average.
- Prolonged use in chronometer mode will reduce battery life.
- Watches with a centre second hand will show your battery is running out by jumping five seconds instead of one.
- You should go to an official agent to have the battery changed.
