IMPORTANT TIPS

CHANGING THE BATTERY:

To eliminate any risk of leakage and therefore damage to the movement, have this operation carried out by an Official Michel HERBELIN Agent.

EXTERIOR COATINGS:

Be careful, they can be attacked by certain chemical agents such as mercury and certain chemicals or solvents.

WATERPROOFING:

Our watches are engraved on the back, allowing you to know their degree of resistance to water. The label “WATERPROOF CONTROLE” affixed to the back, certifies that the watch has undergone water resistance tests and checks.

ATTENTION:

To remain effective, the water resistance requested has been checked at least once every 2 years and in any case each time the battery of your quartz watch is changed. Diving requires minimum control at 10 ATM.

AUTOMATIC WATCHES:

An automatic watch equipped with an automatic movement that has not been worn for a while stops. Manually wind it a few times before putting it back on the wrist.

DAILY USE:

– Do not operate the winder when the watch is wet.

– After submersion in the sea or swimming pool, rinse your watch with fresh water. *

– Avoid sudden variations in temperature and humidity (eg sauna)

– Avoid strong shocks. Have the water resistance of your watch serviced annually.

CROWN OR WINDOW

Depending on your watch model, the crown has 2 or 3 positions: Normal / Intermediate: 1st click (date correction) / Fully pulled out: 2nd click (time correction).

SCREWED CROWN: In order to ensure perfect water resistance, some Michel HERBELIN watches are fitted with a screwed crown. Your watch is only waterproof when the crown is fully screwed against the case.

YOUR INTERNATIONAL GUARANTEE

It begins on the date of purchase and covers any manufacturing defect or hidden defect, under normal use, as long as the watch has not been opened. Its duration is indicated on the warranty card (certificate of origin and warranty).

To validate your warranty, the warranty card must be completed by Michel HERBELIN. An unfilled card will not give entitlement to the guarantee. Your warranty covers parts and labor.
